EngageSimply Collaborates with GENBAND to Create a Kandy Store of Real Time Communications Engagement Innovations
Interactive, real time humanized digital interfaces leveraging new browser-based technologies will be shared at Ad:Tech NY
For Immediate Release: November 4, 2014; New York, NY – engageSimply, a leading innovator of digital engagement solutions for brands and agencies, today announced it has reached an understanding with GENBAND, a leading global real time communications software company, to build highly intuitive, embedded multimedia experiences available on the EDEN engagement platform.
Over the last several months, the team at engageSimply has tapped into Kandy, GENBAND’s recently introduced Platform-as-a-Service, which makes available real time communications features through APIs and a mobile SDK.
engageSimply was selected by GENBAND Kandy’s team for “early access” to the platform, which was formally made available September 16, 2014. At Ad:Tech NY, which takes place in the Javits Convention Center, Engage Simply will share concepts powered by Kandy showing social consumer engagement domains enhanced by offering human-to-human communications through the browser. There is no need to download an application, dial a phone number, or otherwise labor in order to reach other people in real time, with these high definition experiences.
Part of the concept is made possible through WebRTC, an initiative organized by Google, which is making it possible for people to connect with each other, one-to-one, one-to-many, and many-to-many over Chrome, Firefox and other browsers (with more browsers expected to join in the near future). GENBAND and Kandy have been developing around WebRTC for over a year, and have enhanced it with their own cloud and quick-start solutions, including assisted shopping and customer service.
